Nishikaze (west wind) is the only Japanese Animation (Anime) festival in Lethbridge, Alberta! Held every spring, it is our goal to provide entertainment and education on Japanese culture through film, panels and discussion. Many people know of Animethon (Edmonton, Alberta), the largest festival in Western Canada and Otafest (Calgary, Alberta), another fine festival that's a little closer.
We're also interested in making Lethbridge a better place. Every year we support the University of Lethbridge Campus Food Bank by accepting donations for $1.00 off the price of admission.

"Borrowed" Merchandise
I had hoped it would never happen but someone at the end of Nishikaze either accidentally took or intentionally stole some video games from our Headquarters at the end of the night. These belong to Scott Kovacs, a volunteer who put in over 10 hours of volunteering, including making sure all the vendors were safely loaded and that area of the campus was locked down.
At the end of the night, just prior to our volunteer prize draw, a small blue bag with 2 games had been found and set on our "production" table (two laptops, laser printer, and copier). Scott wasn't in the room at the time because he was off at the vendors room. That was the last time anyone had seen them.
After the prize draw and the remaining volunteers had left, Scott returned to find out that not only had he missed the draw, that someone took his games. We searched the room and the remaining boxes but they couldn't be found. We still need to search our boxes that were already packed but we believe someone took them between 8-9pm. What was taken was Arc the Lad Collection (5 disks) and Rhapsody - both Playstation games for which he spent $150 to get.
If you took these games, whether accidentally or intentionally, please return them. You can mail them to me and I will forward them to Scott. You can also message me and I will not tell Scott who took them. He just wants his games back.
